Walk & Roll on May 31st at Kevin O’Grady School

HomeGivingWalk & Roll on May 31st at Kevin O’Grady School

Lace up your sneakers and join us at the Kevin O’Grady School at 112 Sohier Road in Beverly on Saturday, May 31st for our annual Walk & Roll pledge event. It’s lots of fun and raises money for student exercise and fitness activities.

With funds raised by past Walk & Rolls and grants, we were able to build an accessible playground for the younger students and a big, beautiful recreation field for games, gardening and relaxation. We also recently bought several adaptive cardiovascular exercise machines for students with physical challenges. We hope to be able to move forward with lots more indoor and outdoor exercise opportunities. With your help, we can.

Registration and music begin at 9:30 am. Our DJ is everyone’s favorite Bethany Vahn!

Everyone who registers gets five raffle tickets for great prizes such as passes to the Museum of Science and tickets to the North Shore Navigators and Brockton Rox, as well as games, a gift basket and gift certificates. We also have a separate raffle for RED SOX tickets!

We will start walking around 10 am.  The goal is to walk two miles (10 revolutions around the building). Gather in the back of the building for the music and opening ceremonies. After the walk we will enjoy fun games and a hoop shoot on the recreation field. The PTO will provide free snacks and water and sell hotdogs.  We  hope to see you!  For info, call (978) 232-9755.
