Position Summary: This position is responsible for the management of all educational and administrative
activities within the Kevin O’Grady School. This position reports to the Executive Director.
Specific Duties:
- Develop and coordinate the administration of educational programs to ensure conformance with state and
board standards.
- Oversee all educational, administrative and counseling activities.
- Confer with teachers, parents and districts concerning individual student plans to ensure a cohesive team
approach in meeting students need’s.
- Formulate policies and procedures for new or revised programs/activities that reflect the needs of the current
and future student population.
- Administration of the program budget and participation is the development of program’s annual budget.
- Supervise, evaluate and schedule appropriate certified and non-certified personnel within the program.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Education or related field
- D.E.S.E. certification required – Special Education Administrator
- Proven supervisory experience within a diverse special needs student population
- Experience utilizing strong written and oral communication skills when dealing with staff, students,
parents, district representatives
- Experience managing within budget parameters
- Experience identifying and creating educational programs to meet student, parent and district needs
